I recently downloaded the Litmus 2018 State of Email Report. I’ve summarised the key points I believe are important for Modern Marketers and provided some context for Oracle Marketing Cloud Eloqua customers that they may want to review as they move forward with their campaigns in 2018.
I think the question “Is Eloqua easy to use” is probably the wrong question. As with any software platform, with the right training and an understanding of digital marketing, you’ll get the most from the platform. As it happens, I think Eloqua is easy to use. It manages to take a complex range of options and simplify them through an elegant graphical interface.
We all have skills and expertise that can be used to support one or more of the many not-for-profit organisations in our community. Over the past few years, my partner and I have supported two such organisations helping them with the development of a CRM and a digital marketing plan to enhance their online presence. I’d used Eloqua 9 previously when I was at Ernst & Young. Since then, Eloqua had released Eloqua 10, a completely new platform with a radical new HTML 5 interface.
The highlight for me personally has been the interaction with some amazing marketers, helping them get more from Eloqua and working to ensure it helps them deliver a superior CX (Customer Experience) while supporting the Sales team with better qualified leads.
The new year seems to motivate change within some people. For some Modern Marketers it’s time to have some downtime and plan for the coming year. We’re often so hell-bent on how we compare with other companies or the industry that we miss the opportunity to measure against our own data. Each client’s target audience is unique, their behaviour their own. Why not use your own data, compiled over time, to understand their digital behaviour.
